December flew by in the Duzan house! Steve and I both finished another semester of school, and we road tripped to NC to have Christmas with my sister's family. It was the best Christmas to date, and I can't thank them enough for housing our traveling circus for all of the holiday madness!! Tons of pictures to share from our trip...
CHRISTMAS EVE...we were so lucky to have almost 60 degree weather the day after we arrived! I won't go into detail about the 12hr drive down as I'm sure most of you with children young and old can remember. We have one great little traveler (Pres) and one well, absolutely terrible traveler(Vivie). So however you shake it out it can be very stressful. But, we arrived safe and sound, and the Hussey's were more than ready for us. I mean I am talking a spotless house that was baby proofed for my curious twins, and a fridge full of food. God, if only I could have taken a picture of the wreck of a house we left the day before! So, my sis had everything lined up for holiday festivities which included making cookies and fun times in their bounce house...my kiddos were loving it! Great day and a much needed one to get the kids out and active. Steve and I even got a run in...in the middle of the day!! I loved having more than myself to supervise the madness!
"Daddy, I heard you had one of these right before I came along...I can ask santa for one next year!!"
UFC part 25 happened in the bounce house...hilarious!
Cookies for santa was a big hit! My mom set up her tripod and filmed the kiddos and sis preparing the goodies.. by the end of sweetly telling these beauties to stop eating cookie dough and no grabbing before the cookies were ready for at least an hour, she calmly asked for the camera to be shut off...love it!
Next it was bath/bubble time! Jada kept dipping her head into the bubbles and saying "ho ho ho" with her bubble santa clause beard...Soph LOVED it!
Time to bring on the santa hats and matching pj's...Gma and Papa Howard let the kids open up a gift on xmas eve and they lovedddd their new footed pajamas...I guess those aren't out of style for 5, 4 and 3year olds?!
Everyone one taste testing some of santa's xmas cookies
The finished product..all kids initials on the cookies and a sugar high that lasted longer than expected! A few more pics from Christmas eve...
I had to post because it is one of the only pictures I was able to catch of these active twinies!
The finished product...notice how when we set everything up that we lost all of our seating! We were all so excited for our group to stampede into the family room and see santa's goodies...part two coming this week!
